Resolving Invalid VfpCompression.Fll Errors

Recently a couple of customers have had trouble using the compression tool in ZonePro that zips or unzips files, getting an error message that says that "vfpcompression.fll is  invalid". I did a little research on the web and learned that this tool is dependent on certain runtime DLL files. Most customers already have these extra files installed but those who do not may see the "invalid" error. To attempt to resolve this I have posted the vfpcompression.fll file and the two dependencies in the Programs section of the Downloads page of our web site. If you are having trouble either zipping up files in the ZonePro Backup screen or unzipping files in the ZonePro Installed Modules screen then you should download these files and place them in your main ZonePro folder.

Remote Control Troubleshooting

Yesterday I used our GoToMeeting account to remotely control a customer's ZonePro program and show them how to do some document editing. I knew it was possible to use the on-line meeting software to remotely control a PC but that is the first time that I've done it. It worked great and the customer was thrilled. Just another support option to keep in mind.

Contractor Activity Grid

A new screen has been added to ZonePro 32 that makes it easy to see all the permits a given contractor is linked to. From the Contractor Screen you can now click on the Activity button to launch the Contractor Activity Grid. This screen lists every permit record that the contractor has been linked to. This screen also has a Jump button that can be used to jump directly to a selected permit record. This screen is the easiest way yet to see what a contractor has been up to in your community. The updated Contractor Module is available for download from the web.
