Revising the Manual

It's been two years since we last revised our printed manual so it's long overdue. This time around I am including lots of screen shots. I think this will really liven up the manual and make it possible to follow along without having to have ZonePro running. I've finished the first 11 chapters and have 18 more to go. I hope to get it done and posted on our web site this month.

Multiple Fees for any Database

Last night I had a great idea about how the Notes field could effectively be used to keep track of multiple fee items in any application database. In ZonePro, only the Building databases are designed to handle multiple fees, but using this technique you can assign multiple fees to any application database. The idea is basically to read in a memo field and parse it and process it one line at at time. On the Scripts page of our web site I have posted a script to demonstrate this technique using the Miscellaneous Fee database. I also posted a video on the Training Videos page demonstrating how to use the script! Follow the video and it will be super easy to try for yourself.
